The works
consist of widening and upgrading of about 4 Km of Existing Road.
The Road will be a divided highway
presenting:
from Hazmieh up to Ministry of Works crossing.

4 lane of 14 m width for left
side and
·
3 lane of 10.5 m width for right
side with a wide median 6m width
The remaining highway will present
3 lane of 10.5 m width in each direction.
The works shall comprise the
construction and completion of three grade separations at:

Ministry of Public Works and
Transports
·
Ministry of Defense
·
Jamhour School
with the
construction and completion of a viaduct at Dahr El Sheer Area.
The extent of
the works includes, but without limitation, the following main
elements:
- Removal of Obstructions
and structures
- All Road Works such as
Earthworks, pavements, sidewalks, curbstone, road signing and
marking, raised pavement studs, speed bumps
- Retaining walls,
staircases
- 3 Bridges (BR1 about
35m long, BR2 about 65m long and BR3 about 37m long)
- One Viaduct V1
approximately 200m long
- Concrete safety
barriers and handrails
- Piling for viaduct,
bridge where required, sheet piling where required
- Stormwater drainage
- Street Lighting
- Traffic Detours
- Demolition and/or
relocation of existing utilities (water, sewer, drainage,
telephone and electrical)
- Ducting for the
proposed utilities
- Landscaping
